Registered Dietitian

EDUCATION

I started off at the University of Illinois as a biology major due to a fascination with the physiology of the body and draw to all available science classes. However, during my sophomore year, I discovered the field of dietetics. This newfound option, aligning closely with my passions, prompted an immediate switch in my major. My academic pursuits then led me to the University of Wisconsin/UWHealth, where I simultaneously completed my Master’s degree in clinical nutrition and a dietetic internship. I have since continued my education to certify in functional blood chemistry analysis.

EXPERIENCE

I started with working in a hospital setting as a clinical dietitian and quickly found that was not for me. The limitations of this environment, including brief patient interactions, strict protocols, and a heavy focus on documentation, conflicted with my desire to meaningfully assist patients. This realization steered my career towards functional wellness, a field where I can dedicate ample time and resources to genuinely help people improve their health. Patients have tearfully thanked me for how much I have improved their life, quite the contrast to when I was in the hospital setting.
